Why do we need insulation? Whether it be at home or in an industrial environment, the reasons are mostly the same; to reduce heat loss hence conserving energy and, most importantly, saving money. Other reasons could be to protect against freezing or in extreme cases (normally in industrial surroundings) to protect personnel from being burned.

On the domestic side, we carry out loft insulation either from scratch in uninsulated properties or by topping up to the recommended level if the property is inadequately insulated.
